All renters must carry liability insurance. PDX Fitness Zone must be listed as additional insured.

Insurance Requirements

Required before your first session. Here's exactly what you need.

Required:

  • Current liability insurance policy
  • Minimum coverage: $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate
  • PDX Fitness Zone must be listed as additional insured
  • Insurance certificate (ACORD 25 form) submitted before your first session

  • NEXT Insurance (starting ~$25/month)
  • Philadelphia Indemnity
  • K&K Insurance

Don't have insurance yet? You can still apply — coverage must be in place before your first session.

House Rules

  • No subletting your rental slot to other trainers without prior approval
  • Clients must sign a PDX Fitness Zone facility waiver before their first session
  • Keep music volume at a level that doesn't disturb adjacent sessions
  • Clean up equipment after each session — leave the floor as you found it
  • No food on the training floor

Common Questions

Do I need to have insurance before I apply?

You don't need to upload your certificate right away, but you must have liability insurance in place before your first session. If you don't have a policy yet, NEXT Insurance is a common option — coverage for fitness professionals starts around $25/month.

How long does the approval process take?

We'll be in touch within 2 business days to schedule a walkthrough and talk through your needs.

Can I bring my own equipment?

Some equipment can be stored at the facility depending on availability. We can discuss this during your walkthrough.

Do my clients need to sign a waiver?

Yes. PDX Fitness Zone provides a standard facility waiver. Clients must sign before their first session.

Can I lock in a recurring time slot?

Yes — full-time renters receive priority booking and can reserve recurring time slots.

Can I offer classes open to the public?
